OAKWOOD, VA (May 6, 2026) – Eight members of the Appalachian College of Pharmacy Class of 2027 were recently inducted into the Delta Alpha chapter of Rho Chi at ACP. Rho Chi is the honor society for pharmacy students.
As the academic honor society in pharmacy, the Rho Chi Society encourages and recognizes intellectual achievement; stimulates critical inquiry to advance pharmacy; contributes to the development of intellectual leaders; promotes the highest ethical standards; and fosters collaboration.
Membership in the Rho Chi Society is a privilege accorded to those who distinguish themselves by their academic and professional achievements and who aspire to the mission and vision of the society.
New Rho Chi members from the ACP class of 2027 inducted included Ali Al-tekreeti, Kareen Awuro, Justin Emsinger, Sarah Ghalayini, Dalton Jenkins, Rutul Patel, Benjamin Simmons and Zavia Williams.
Class of 2026 Officers Donald Danson and Joseph McCall performed the ceremony. Assisting faculty included Dr. Ed Talbott, Rho Chi advisor; Dr. Charla Thompson and Dr. Randy Mullins.
Following the ceremony, a dinner was held at the Dragon’s Den Restaurant.
