Tonuya McGlothlin is the Assessment Coordinator of the Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment Program at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy as well as the Administrative Assistant to the Dean. Mrs. McGlothlin is a Buchanan County native and a 1981 graduate of Garden High School. She received her A.S. degree in Nursing from Southwest Virginia Community College in Richlands, Virginia in 1984, and her B.S. degree in Organizational Management from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia in 1998. Tonuya began her career in assessment in 1985. She held dual positions at Buchanan General Hospital of Quality Improvement/Assessment Coordinator and Quality Improvement Coach. She worked in assessment at BGH for approximately 15 years. She accepted a position in higher education in assessment in 2012 at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy. Tonuya has been in assessment for about 18 years.

Mrs. McGlothlin resides at Mavisdale, Virginia with her husband, Jerry and son, William. She has three grown children, Tasha, Elizabeth, and Amber. She enjoys participating in church activities, spending time with family and friends, camping, fishing, gardening and reading.
