Mrs. Rose is a native of Buchanan County and a graduate of Grundy High School. She married her high school sweetheart, who served in the United States Marine Corps. While in the Marines Mrs. Rose and her husband lived in Okinawa, Japan and Jacksonville, North Carolina before returning to Buchanan County. They have two beautiful daughters and several furry companions. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling and volunteering within her community.
