Dr. Mackenza Harris, PharmD, MBA, is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Recruiter at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy (ACP), and also serves as the Pharmacist in Charge at the Mountain Care Center.
A native of the region, Dr. Harris earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from ACP (2022) and an MBA from The University of Pikeville (2021). She also holds a Bachelor of Art in Communication Studies from The University of Virginia’s College at Wise.
Prior to joining ACP, Dr. Harris was a Clinical Pharmacist at Johnston Memorial Hospital for three years, where her specialized practice included pharmacokinetic dosing, renal dose adjustments, and interdisciplinary rounding.
Outside of her professional roles, Dr. Harris enjoys pursuing adventure, whether through attending various church events, traveling to Disney World, or engaging in retail therapy. She is passionate about returning to ACP and is committed to advancing the lives of her students, hoping to shape them into accomplished pharmacists, just as her professors guided her own journey.
