Dr. Melanie Hagy was born and raised in southeastern Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2016 where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. In 2018 she moved to Vansant, Virginia and have resided there since. Dr. Hagy went back to school at Southwest Virginia Community College in 2018 to take the required prerequisite courses for pharmacy school. She graduated with her Doctorate in Pharmacy from the Appalachian College of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration from the University of Pikeville Coleman College of Business in 2022. She now serves as a fellow for the Appalachian College of Pharmacy for the 2022-2023 year. As a fellow, she will spend several days a week working on patient transitions of care at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, Virginia and several days a week on campus at ACP helping to tutor current students. In her free time I enjoy reading, being outdoors, playing video games, and spending time with her husband, Marc, and their dog, Dan.
