Brandon is a Buchanan County native, graduating from Hurley High School in 2004, joining the US Army National Guard shortly after where he served 8 years, and deploying to Iraq in 2007-2008 as a Combat Engineer in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  In 2013, Brandon graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice after transferring from Southwest Virginia Community College with an Associate’s degree in Administration of Justice and General Studies. Brandon has served nearly combined 15 years in the private security and safety field, serving mostly in a management/supervisor capacity.  Currently, Brandon also serves as the Pastor of Garden Baptist Church of Oakwood, VA.

In his spare time, Brandon enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and daughter, Audrey and Naomi, reading non-fiction, spending time in nature, and serving and encouraging others in need.
