Dr. Samir Abdelfattah is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy in Oakwood, Virginia.  He is a proud native of Grundy, Virginia.

He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy in 2010.  Before joining the Appalachian College of Pharmacy as a faculty member, he began his career as a Pharmacy Manager at Rite Aid in Morristown, Tennessee.  From there he developed an intense interest in diabetes care.  Dr. Abdelfattah has been board certified in advanced diabetes management (BC-ADM) since June of 2013.

Dr. Abdelfattah’s practice site is at the Mountain Care Center located in Oakwood, Virginia.  Professional interests include: medication-therapy management (MTM), immunizations, diabetes care, and emergency medicine.

Dr. Abdelfattah is an avid sports enthusiast.  His favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys and the Tennessee Volunteers.  In his free time, he enjoys hiking and being out on the lake.
