Alex Barker

Dr. Alex Barker is an Instructor of Pharmacy Practice and currently one of the PGY-1 residents at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy. His PGY-1 residency has a community pharmacy focus.
Dr. Barker earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Ferris State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
After having worked in both institutional and community pharmacy settings, he has chosen to pursue a career in ambulatory care or primary care. His professional interests include patient counseling/motivation, disease management, inter-professional patient care, and medication adherence.
Dr. Barker is a native of Michigan. He, his wife Megan, and his daughter Elizabeth live in Lebanon, VA. In his free time, he enjoys reading, drawing, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
Michael Justice

Dr. Michael Justice is an Instructor of Pharmacy Practice and currently one of the PGY-1 Residents at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy. His PGY-1 Residency has a Community Pharmacy focus.
Dr. Justice earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 2009 from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Appalachian College of Pharmacy in 2012.
Dr. Justice is an active member of Phi Delta Chi (PDC), the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (ASHP), American Pharmacists Association (APhA), National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), and Apothecary Medicinal Plant Society (AMPS). His professional interests include ambulatory care, diabetes management, medication therapy management, and drug addiction.
In his free time, Dr. Justice enjoys spending time with his family and friends, drawing/painting, hiking, fishing, and being outdoors. Dr. Justice is a native of Welch, West Virginia and currently resides in Bristol, Virginia.
Evan Wright

Dr. Evan Wright is an instructor of pharmacy Practice and currently one of the PGY-1 Residents at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy. His PGY-1 Residency has a Community Pharmacy focus.
Dr. Wright earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Findlay School of Pharmacy in Findlay, Ohio in 2012.
Dr. Wright’s professional interests include community pharmacy and ambulatory care with a particular interest in diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension and infectious disease.
