Campus wireless Internet access is available for student, faculty, and staff use only.

The following user groups may borrow items from the library's circulating collection:

  • Current ACP students
  • Current ACP faculty and staff
  • Members of ACP Board of Trustees

Unaffiliated Users
Any patrons not covered by the list above do not have circulation or computer privileges, but may use the library's print materials in-house. This includes ACP alumni, former employees, and the general public.

Status Loan Period Number of Renewals  Borrowing Limit Late Fee Maximum Fine
ACP Students 3 weeks 1 10 items $.50/day $10
ACP Faculty and Trustees 2 months 1 20 items $.50/day $10

Non-Circulating Items
Journal and magazine issues and books in the Reference and Reserve Collections may not be checked out. However, faculty may request to borrow these items for a short period of time. These requests will be evaluated by library staff on a case-by-case basis.

Recalls
A user may request a recall for an item that is currently checked out. All items are subject to recall after one week from the checkout date. The user who currently has the item will be sent an email requesting that he or she return the book within 48 hours. If the user cannot legitimately return the item within 48 hours (e.g., if the user is ill or out-of-town), he or she must notify library staff immediately.

Overdue and Lost Items
A late fee of $.50 per day will be assessed for all overdue items. In addition, users with overdue items that have been recalled may not check out other materials until the recalled item has been returned or declared lost. Items will be declared lost if they are not returned after two months, and the patron will be charged the maximum late fee in addition to the replacement cost of the missing item.

Students who have outstanding library late fees or overdue items at the end of the academic year or at the time of graduation will have their fines forwarded to the registrar and will not be permitted to progress through the curriculum or graduate until the balance is paid in full and/or the item is returned.

Course Reserves
Faculty may request to have certain items temporarily removed from the circulating collection for in-house use only. Faculty should submit requests at least two weeks in advance.
