Post-Doctoral Faculty Position - Pharmaceutics
The Appalachian College of Pharmacy is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, twelve month, entry-level faculty/post-Doctoral appointment in Pharmaceutics. The candidate must be a highly motivated scientist interested in investigating various pharmaceutical formulation matrices, particularly transdermal delivery systems.
The primary responsibility of the successful applicant is to engage in formulation development and in-vitro evaluation. Additional responsibilities include teaching in the pharmaceutics curriculum, mentoring students, and contributing to the service and scholarly pursuits of the college.
The successful candidate must hold a doctoral-level degree in pharmaceutics with experience in drug delivery matrices design. Desired skills include experience with biodegradable polymers; liposomal matrix formation and characterization; nanoparticles based formulation development; transdermal patch-fabrication; and PEGylation approach to drug delivery.
