Faculty Position

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Pharmacology

The Appalachian College of Pharmacy (ACP) is Virginia’s only three-year Doctor of Pharmacy program.  Located in Oakwood, Virginia, ACP’s mission focus is on addressing the health related needs of rural and/or underserved populations in Appalachia.

Faculty Position: Pharmaceutical Sciences - The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Appalachian College of Pharmacy (ACP) is seeking qualified individuals to fill a position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. The successful candidate will serve as part of a multidisciplinary team, which has responsibilities for teaching foundational science courses including biochemistry, pathophysiology, basic and clinical pharmacology in an integrated doctor of pharmacy curriculum. Participation in scholarly and research endeavors as well as service to the College and community are encouraged and expected.

Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with emphasis in pharmacology, or a PhD in pharmacology, or in a related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates who have a record of peer reviewed publication and prior academic experience. Candidates should exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to student-centered education. Rank and salary will commensurate with experience and qualifications.
