Clinical Faculty Position Pikeville

Clinical Faculty Position in Primary Care

The Appalachian College of Pharmacy is seeking a full-time clinical pharmacist for a faculty appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor.

The successful applicant will mentor students in the experiential curriculum, teach in the integrated didactic curriculum, and establish a clinical pharmacy practice site in Primary Care in a multidisciplinary medical practice in Pikeville, KY.  Within the practice site the faculty member will work collaboratively with other health-care providers to implement and maintain innovative disease management programs, provide clinical pharmacy services, and provide patient specific medication education.

Qualified candidates must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be eligible for pharmacy licensure in Kentucky.  Successful completion of PGY-1 residency is preferred and completion of a PGY-2 residency in Primary Care is highly desired or equivalent practice experience in the ambulatory care setting.
