Clinical Faculty Position
Assistant / Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice
The Appalachian College of Pharmacy is seeking a full-time clinical pharmacist for a faculty appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor.
The successful applicant will mentor students in the experiential curriculum, teach in the integrated didactic curriculum, contribute to service and scholarly pursuits in conformity with the college and department mission, and establish an advanced pharmacy practice site in conjunction with the college’s free clinic, the Mountain Care Center (MCC) located at Oakwood, Virginia, and the college’s Health and Wellness Program.
The successful applicant’s practice site responsibilities will include working collaboratively with other clinicians, health-care providers, and local businesses to implement and maintain innovative disease management and wellness programs, providing medication therapy management services, and staffing at the MCC.
Qualified candidates must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be eligible for pharmacy licensure in Virginia and Tennessee. Successful completion of PGY-1 residency is preferred.
