Clinical Faculty Position in Eastern Kentucky Assistant / Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice
The Appalachian College of Pharmacy is seeking applicants for a newly created faculty position in Eastern Kentucky for a full-time, twelve-month appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The successful applicant will mentor students in the experiential curriculum, teach in the integrated didactic curriculum, and establish a clinical pharmacy practice site in the area of primary care or emergency medicine at a tertiary care facility located in Eastern Kentucky. Practice site responsibilities will include working collaboratively with health care professionals to provide clinical pharmacy services, patient education, and cost effective medication use. Additional responsibilities include contributions to service and scholarly pursuits in conformity with the college and department mission.
Qualified candidates must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be eligible for pharmacy licensure in Kentucky. Successful completion of PGY-1 residency is preferred and completion of a PGY-2 residency in Primary Care, Critical Care, or Emergency Medicine is highly desired.
