J. Todd Carter
J. Todd Carter is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Carter, a native of Hazard, Ky comes to ACP after graduating from The University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May 2000. He has an extensive background in community pharmacy in both chain and independent pharmacies and has spent a total of 14 years working in various pharmacies in Southeastern and South-central Kentucky. Focuses of his practices included compounding novel dosage forms for drugs not available on the market, veterinary compounding, unit-dosing of medications for group homes, educating on home health/durable medical devices and diabetic shoes.
In his spare time, Dr. Carter enjoys traveling on his motorcycle around our beautiful area, 4 wheeling on his ATV, watching NHL hockey, helping with local and national charities in his hometown and spending time with friends and family. He is also a nature and animal lover and enjoys playing with his puppies Isis, Tippy and Mojo.
