Dr. Ajay Singh serves the college as an Assistant Professor of Medicinal Chemistry.
Dr. Singh obtained his M.Sc. in chemistry from the University of Mumbai in 2001, and PhD from the University of Houston (2008). Following a postdoctoral stay at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (2009-2012), Dr. Singh joined the Appalachian College of Pharmacy in October 2012.
Dr. Singh’s research has primarily focused on the design and synthesis of molecular imaging probes for the diagnosis of cancer. His research projects include design and synthesis of bifunctional chelator scaffolds for metallic isotopes in nuclear medicine; and development of pH sensitive imaging agents.
In his leisure time, Dr. Singh enjoys travelling, and cooking.
