ACPHS expands Office of Institutional Advancement

ALBANY , N.Y. (August 2, 2007) - Albany College of Pharmacy's Office of Institutional Advancement begins the new fiscal year with an expansion of staff and responsibilities.

David Zdunczyk has been promoted to assistant vice president of institutional advancement, responsible for overseeing ACPHS's major gifts team. Zdunczyk, previously the director of development, came to ACPHS in 2006 from Albany Institute of History and Art, where he also served as director of development. His resume includes development experience at The Sage Colleges, Albany Medical Center and the American Water Ski Hall of Fame in Polk City , Fla.

Also new to the college and part of its new major gifts team are Director of Major Gifts Donna Beebe , Major Gifts Officer Mike Buckley and Coordinator of Donor Relations and Stewardship Christina Spinelli. Beebe and Spinelli join ACPHS after holding similar positions at the Albany Academies and Albany Medical Center . Buckley comes to ACPHS after working at Siena College .

"The addition of a major gifts team under the leadership of David Zdunczyk and with the experience of Donna Beebe, Mike Buckley and Christina Spinelli will go a long way to help us reach our strategic goals," Vice President of Institutional Advancement Vicki DiLorenzo said. "This is a time of excitement and progress for the Office of Institutional Advancement at ACPHS."

Founded in 1881, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is the oldest pharmacy school in New York state and one of the only private, independent pharmacy schools in the United States . The college has a long history of serving its students and health care professionals as one of the premier pharmacy colleges in the nation. The college now enters a new era in health care with a focus not only on pharmacy, but also on pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical technology and research.
