Investing in Your Degree
The investment in your Doctor of Pharmacy degree can seem daunting but you don’t have to take this step in your career alone. There are a number of financial aid options that you may qualify for.
There are several options to assist in financing your education:
- Federal Direct Loan Program
- Private Payment (based upon your lender preference)
- Virginia Tuition Assistance Program (VTAG)
To apply for federal financial aid, follow these steps:
Complete and submit an electronic master promissory note at www.studentloans.gov
Complete entrance counseling at www.studentloans.gov.
Complete, sign and return the ACP loan request form.
Once you complete the four steps above, you will receive a financial aid award letter. Please review your award letter carefully. For additional information about borrowing funds for your education, visit the Federal Direct Loan website and/or consult private lenders. The Department of Education typically disburses federal student loans to the Appalachian College of Pharmacy at the beginning of each term.
