Application Instructions: Cytotechnology Certificate Program The College's primary objective is to prepare candidates for the ASCP Certification Exam in Cytotechnology. A student's undergraduate and graduate training determines eligibility for examination. Applicants and matriculated students must demonstrate the ability to perform (or learn to perform) essential skills according to the technical standards listed in the College catalog. Applicants for admission will be considered for an interview when they have completed the required coursework below. No credit will be accepted for grades lower than "C" (C- is not acceptable). Applicants who meet the above requirements should then complete this application form and submit it to the College along with the required $50 non-refundable fee. A check or money order should be made payable to Albany College of Pharmacy and sent to the address below. The following materials must be sent to the Admissions Office:
Upon acceptance, a non-refundable $400 tuition deposit is due, to be credited toward the student's tuition. It should be noted that completion of the above requirements does not automatically assure admission. Appointments will be made on the basis of overall achievement and space available in the class. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is recommended for all required coursework. International Students In addition to the above requirements, international students must also supply:
Pending approval of the application, a letter of acceptance
and a Declaration and Certification of Finances form will be sent. The
applicant must return this form promptly to the College with a deposit
of $400. The deposit and the receipt of the financial statement by the
College will then allow the College to forward to the applicant the Certificate
