ACP's Department of Arts and Sciences provides a strong liberal arts education that emphasizes the development of the skills necessary for our student's successful pursuit of their chosen career. By offering courses in the basic sciences, humanities and social sciences, the department promotes a thorough understanding of science and the world in which we live. In addition to serving the needs of those students in the pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences and health sciences curricula, the department will be developing interdisciplinary programs that take advantage of the diversity of the faculty that make up this unique department. The research activities in the department are as varied as the faculty. Descriptions can be found on the individual faculty pages.

The department has 30 full-time faculty.
