ACP names new assistant women's soccer coach

Michael Young.ALBANY , N.Y. (June 1, 2007) - ACP will have a new women's assistant soccer coach on its sidelines for the 2007 season.

 

Michael Young will join the defending Northern Independence Conference champions and coach Jack Beckett. The Panthers were 8-4 in 2006.

 

Young worked as the varsity boys coach for the

Voorheesville High School soccer team for the 2005 and 2006 seasons. He has a variety of coaching experiences, including leading the Bethlehem indoor soccer club premier team in 2005-06. He also has coached in the Capital District Youth Soccer League and with the Gouverneur High School summer team.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Michael Young.

A Gouverneur native, Young was a four-year starter during his collegiate years, splitting time between the State University of New York at Buffalo and SUNY Potsdam. He resides in Rensselaer.
