Mechanisms of Thrombosis and Hemostasis: Platelet-Leukocyte Interactions; Platelet structure and function

Biological Effects of Natural Products: especially Flavonoids and Arabinogalactans; Structure and Synthesis; Immunostimulant effects of Arabinogalactans; Cryoprotective Actions of Arabinogalactans

My general research interest is the application of biochemical, cellular, and morphological methods to physiological and pathophysiological questions. In addition, I am interested in the use of the research laboratory as a teaching environment. It is my philosophy that students can best learn Science by doing it. Therefore, my research interests are strongly tied to my educational interests.
