Position Title: Assistant Professor, Ambulatory Care

Position Description

The Department of Pharmacy Practice at Albany College of Pharmacy ( www.acp.edu ) is accepting applications from qualified candidates to join the College as an assistant professor. The candidate would be responsible for establishing an ambulatory care practice site at one of several available sites to support the vision and mission of Albany College of Pharmacy. Examples of sites that are available include but are not limited to the following: Eddy Visiting Nurse Association, Center for Rheumatology and Albany Medical Center Family Practice. Didactic teaching and service to the College are expected.

This position is a full-time, non-tenure (research program not required) or tenure-track (research program required) appointment. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. An excellent benefit package is offered. Multiple positions are available immediately. Applications will be accepted and reviewed until the positions are filled. Multiple positions may be available.

The successful candidate must possess a Pharm.D. degree, have completed a postdoctoral residency or fellowship or have equivalent clinical experience in ambulatory care, and be eligible for licensure in New York State . The successful candidates will possess strong clinical practice and interpersonal skills, an ability to work independently yet contribute to a team, good organizational skills and a clear understanding of experiential teaching. Applicants for a tenure-track position are also expected to have demonstrated research productivity and successful grant writing experience.
