Approximately 200 members of ACP's Class of 2010 made the ceremonial passage into the professional years of the Doctor of Pharmacy program September 29 during the annual White Coat Ceremony in the Albert M. White Gymnasium. The ceremony for third-year students marks the official start of the professional years in the six-year Pharm.D. program. An ACP tradition, the ceremony recognizes both the students' achievements during the first two years of general studies in the basic sciences and humanities, and the core values that will shape them as pharmacy professionals. The Pledge of Professionalism is an important symbolic moment in the ceremony.

This year's event was attended by about 850 friends and family members. David B. Flashover '69, a member of the New York State Board of Pharmacy and the former chairman, delivered the keynote address. (Click on individual photos to view an enlarged version.)
